Conducting Performance Reviews™

This course is designed for supervisors and managers.

Although the formal performance review may seem more an administrative than a management responsibility, in practice it can be an extremely powerful tool for a manager. Especially today, when people work more independently, few opportunities arise when both the manager and employee can step back, look at what has happened and decide where to go in the future.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • How to provide a collaborative approach to the formal performance review
  • How to prepare employees-and themselves-for a review How to manage expectations during the discussion
  • How to create an atmosphere that encourages both people to be open about their concerns and plans for the future

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Prepare for a focused and collaborative performance review meeting
  • Help employees prepare for the performance meeting
  • Give their perspective on the person's performance by focusing on core points
  • Overcome major performance disconnects with the employee
  • Demonstrate a set of key actions for conducting performance reviews
  • Increase employee motivation, learning, productivity and ensure collaboration throughout the year

This is a training course from the award-winning Leadership Series by AchieveGlobal.
