Course Schedule
This course is designed for human resources and management personnel.
Our Washington State unemployment rate inched up to 9.3% in June 2009, up from 5.2% in June 2008. With this increase, you are probably one of many Washington State employers that are responding to a larger number of unemployment claims than a year ago. Topics that will be covered in this Webinar include:
- The process a claim goes through, and how your organization can and should be involved

- Strategies to use when a claim goes to the appeal process
- Sample letters and tools to use in your communications with the Employment Security Department
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Summarize key terms surrounding the Washington unemployment insurance tax system
