This course is designed for supervisors and managers.
What is Situational Leadership? Simply put, Situational Leadership is designed to increase team member productivity and engagement. Situational Leadership teaches leaders how to effectively handle the situations they face every day-setting goals, assigning work, giving praise and resolving performance problems.
Leaders must manage the performance and development of an increasing number of people. Situational Leadership equips them with skill sets to carry out the core responsibility that is at the heart of every leader's role: to develop their people for optimum performance and engagement.
Through case-studies and assessments, this course teaches the SLIIŽ Model and then focuses participants on practicing the skills required to Partner for Performance at each stage of development. It is a practical, hands-on program that develops skills that can be readily transferred to the job. The focus is on gaining knowledge of different leadership styles and their appropriate application, setting goals and clarifying direction, and improving communication.
This course was created by Ken Blanchard, one of the most influential leadership experts in the world, respected for his years of groundbreaking work in the fields of leadership and management. Situational Leadership II is not a sequel; rather, it represents a new generation of leadership theory.
