Archived Webcast (On Demand Course): Latest Developments in FMLA

All employers with 50 or more employees are now challenged with mastering and handling FMLA leaves in a new way due to new and amended federal regulations that go into effect on January 16, 2009. This 1-hour webcast "cuts to the chase" by identifying key changes of the new regulations and offering insights and strategies to managing FMLA leave situations.

This webcast will provide a brief overview of the new changes to the FMLA regulations and offer you the opportunity to ask questions and have them answered by an employment attorney in partnership with an experienced HR professional. Take advantage of professional advice and "in the trenches" practical experience by emailing your questions about the recent changes to FMLA prior to or during the webcast.

Among other updates, participants will obtain best practices of policy and procedures to ensure compliance related to:

  • Military provisions: Statutory expansion of "family leave" reasons
  • Employer Notices: Four types of notice to employees required
  • Medical Certifications and employer contact with health care providers: How much information is appropriate?
  • Attendance Policies: How are they affected by the new regulations?
