Building Interpersonal Awareness
Achieving Professional Success Through Understanding Styles of Self and Others

This course is designed for all employees.

Have you ever experienced tension in the workplace with a co-worker, boss, customer or subordinate? Have you found yourself working with someone and thinking "This person is driving me crazy"? Have you felt misunderstood by others?

Since one of the major factors in our success in the workplace is our ability to work with others, it can be helpful to develop an awareness of our own unique behaviors and the behaviors of those we work with. This information provides an opportunity to uncover strategies for modifying behavior for more successful relationships, thereby increasing your effectiveness and reducing tension.

This interactive course will help you become more aware of your own behaviors, strengths and weaknesses, and increase your ability to recognize the same in others. Central to the course is an instrument called the DiSCŪ Classic Profile and is included in the cost.

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Determining your behavior using DiSCŪ
  • Understanding DiSCŪ dimensions of behavior
  • Learning to flex your behavior with DiSCŪ
  • Developing strategies for success in teams

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the four DiSCŪ Dimensions of Behavior
  • Identify their highest Dimension of Behavior and behavior tendencies, including strengths and areas for development
  • Create a plan to appropriately adapt their behavior to that of a challenging co-worker, boss or other person to allow reduced tension and increased productivity
  • Describe how each Dimension of Behavior contributes to the team or organization
