Your receptionist has a tremendous impact on your company's image. Is your image positive or negative? Your receptionist is the ultimate source of customer service at your place of business. Receptionists greet clients, answer phones and probably handle a multitude of clerical tasks. Your receptionist may be the first person a customer interacts with at your office... or the last.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate a customer's first impression using the reception area checklist and the checklist for the receptionist's desk
  • Greet visitors promptly, even when they're on the telephone
  • Employ seven quick steps for a procedure manual of receptionist's responsibilities
  • Accomplish clerical duties unobtrusively at the front desk
  • Create a safety plan for suspicious people who may come in
