Disability Plans

Short-Term Disability Plans
The unexpected can and does happen. When an accident or illness occurs, disability coverage becomes a necessity. Provide your employees with a short-term disability plan and you will also be providing them with peace of mind. Washington Employers not only offers a selection of short-term disability plans to meet your goals; we also offer our expert advice on how to choose the best one for you. Features of these plans include:
  • Benefits payable for up to a maximum of six months

  • Benefits typically beginning on the first day for hospitalization or accidental injury

  • Benefits beginning on the eighth day for illness or pregnancy

Long-Term Disability Plan
No employee benefit package is complete without a long-term disability plan. When a valued employee suffers a devastating accident or illness that leaves him/her disabled and unable to work, the Washington Employers Long-Term Disability Plan will pay them 50% to 60% of their salary (after a disability has lasted for six months). They will continue to be paid until no longer disabled or until age 65. This is truly one of the most important benefits for each and every employee. Consult with us to learn how to add our Long-Term Disability Plan to your benefits package.
