Washington Employers May Apply For Grants To Improve Workplace Safety and Health
The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries announced on June 24, 2009, that it is accepting new grant applications for improving safety and health at Washington workplaces. An estimated $2,500,000 is available for grants in this funding cycle.
IRS Issues Notice On Employer-Provided Cell Phones, Requests Comments
The IRS has issued a notice and request for comments regarding several proposals to simplify the procedures under which employers substantiate an employee's business use of employer-provided cellular telephones or other similar telecommunications equipment (cell phones).

 

 

 

 

 

Despite The Pressures Of Tough Economy, Worker Relationships With Supervisors, Colleagues Remain Strong

Eighty-seven percent of professionals interviewed recently said they have a good rapport with their supervisors and 95 percent get along well with coworkers. In fact, slightly more respondents today described their relationships with supervisors and peers as "very good" than did participants in a 2005 survey on the same subject.
