Domestic Violence Leave for Victims and Family Members
This new Washington law is designed to increase the safety and economic security of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking. The law covers situations where the employee is the victim or where the victim is a member of the employee's family.

For New Leave for Spouses of Deployed Military Personnel
Effective June 12, 2008, the new Washington State Military Family Leave Act (MFLA) requires all Washington State employers to provide up to 15 work days (per deployment) of unpaid, job-protected leave to employees with military spouses who have been notified of an impending call or order to active duty, or who have been deployed.

 

 

 

 

Research Finds Poor Talent Management Significantly Increases Employee Turnover

A significant number of employees are leaving their employers due to ineffective leadership and a lack of opportunities or challenges within the organization, according to an online survey conducted by Right Management. Thirty percent of 1,308 respondents said they left their jobs to seek new challenges or opportunities that were lacking with their previous employers.
